Jeff Weber (born September 24, 1984) is a former professional ice hockey goaltender. Drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the eighth round of the 2003 National Hockey League Entry Draft, Weber played for three teams in the ECHL. After sustaining a foot injury Weber retired from professional hockey and attended University of Calgary where he played goal for the Dinos. ==Career== Weber began his playing career in the OHL with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. After appearing in only four games for the Greyhounds, Weber was traded to the Plymouth Whalers during the 2002–03 season. Five days after being acquired, Weber won his debut with the Whalers, defeating his former team to earn his first OHL victory, while also setting an OHL record by stopping two penalty shots in the span of 1:17 during the second period. During the off-season, Weber was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the eighth round of the 2003 National Hockey League (NHL) Entry Draft. Following two more OHL seasons in which he split time between the Whalers, Barrie Colts, and Saginaw Spirit, Weber began play in the ECHL. He played for the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies, Stockton Thunder and Long Beach Ice Dogs during his ECHL career.〔 While he was in California with the Ice Dogs, Weber appeared on two reality TV shows, ''Pros vs. Joes'' and MTV's ''Next''. He continued to play professionally until he broke a bone in his foot cliff diving in Mexico. Weber returned following surgery to repair the bone, but decided to step away from his professional career after a surgical screw in his foot broke.〔 With his professional career over, Weber entered the University of Calgary where he played goal for the Dinos and studied economics. During the 2010 Olympic break, Weber was brought in by the Calgary Flames to serve as a practice goalie while Miikka Kiprusoff was representing Finland in the games.
